It is amazing how many times a year I make a pen out of the pruned branches of a favorite tree or a sentimental family tree. I have made all styles of pens from all types of Maple, Apple, Cherry, and even oak. I have the equipment to take a pruned branch and dry it so I can cut it down to make a pen or bottle stop. This drying process normaly takes a week or two.  Below is one of six pens I made from the branches of an apple tree that a grandfather planted and harvested from in the mid 50's.  These pens were given during the holidays as a very sentimental gift to family members.
